binksound demo offer :.

ATTENTION PRODUCERS, ARTISTS, AND MANAGERS

Ok, here's the deal. Back in "The Day," record labels and A&R Executives would accept demos in any form, and at any quality. Well, times have changed, and labels are no longer interested in the non-professional "boom box" demos of yesterday.

At the same time, the acceptance of ProTools as a universal standard has allowed many "bedroom producers" to cheaply record relatively good sounding demos. The problem is, just because you own the equipment doesn't mean you get a good sound. You have to know how to use the gear to its fullest extent in order to get that professional sheen and quality you're looking for.

I can't begin to tell you how many producers have asked me why their demos don't sound the same as a professionally recorded CD. Well, the fact of the matter is, that's not something you can learn overnight. I have been doing this for 12 years, after going to school for 4, and I'm still sharpening my skills every single day. And frankly, everyone has an area of expertise. Producers concentrate on the creative, and it's not fair to expect them to also be on top of all the technical stuff that goes into a good sounding mix.

But all is not lost, now I'm giving you the opportunity to take advantage of my experience (see my credits and listen to my mixes). And keep this in mind... you won't have to pay me anything until you are happy with the mix. Here's how it works:

  1. After a free consultation (either over the phone or in person if you wish) we will determine an inexpensive price to match your budget and your needs. I understand that more often than not, the artist is paying for demos themselves, so our prices are tailored to fit.
  2. You send me the audio files you have recorded. Most formats can be accommodated: ProTools, Digital Performer, AIF, WAV, SDII, etc.
  3. I will do a mix at my well-equipped, professional studio to give you the best, highest quality results.
  4. I will email you instructions telling you how to download a "rough copy" snippet of the mix in a low bit-rate mp3 file, usually about 30 seconds to a minute long. This gives you the opportunity to hear what I am doing with the mix, but also protects me from anyone who might take advantage and skip out without paying.
  5. I will make whatever changes, if any, you feel are necessary to the mix. Once you are happy with the way the mix turned out, you send me payment. Upon receipt of payment, I will send you whatever copies you request. I can print CDs with professional laser-printed labels, to give you that final look of quality that will stand out from the rest.

If this sounds good, contact me for further information. I hope to hear from you soon!
